During summer 2008, Golfstromen took the initiative for Fluor: a temporary concept space/guerrilla gallery in an empty five room apartment at the Bickerseiland in downtown Amsterdam.

With support from other creatives, Fluor was shortly turned into an informal, fully facilitated work and event place containing project space for creative start-ups, an art gallery mainly focused on photography and street art, a mini-cinema and a 'Wohnzimmer' bar. Fluor was located in an old seventies housing block being renovated. Besides offering an inspiring place to work and relax for everyone interested, Fluor's aim was to stimulate thinking about new ways of temporarily using empty buildings during neighbourhood restructuring periods.
