+ Info
For the occasion of the Nuit Blanche Amsterdam festival of 19 June 2010, we developed a mind-blowing urban adventure game along with the people of Waag Society, entitled Gold Rush. The game took place in the twilight zone between digital en physical spaces and took the players on a freaky trip through the city center of Amsterdam, in search of a treasure left behind by the desperate Russian mastermind Kurnan Iblovich and his accomplice Anatoli. During the game the players stumbled upon obstacles, tasks and mysteries that guided them to a Grande Finale at the Brakke Grond theater.
Gold Rush is based upon the 7scenes application and can be played with iPhones and Nokia smartphones. You can access the game at every moment during Nuit Blanche, and it is possible to play in groups. There were be upload stations available across town during the night where players could recharge batteries and ask for help.
